Coach House Floor Construction and Final Floor Finish
Located in Oxfordshire, on the same estate as our Victorian Glass House and Plant Room project, this Coach House floor construction showcases MKL Groundworks’ precision and craftsmanship. Our team worked closely with the client to restore and rebuild the floor using a glapor insulation system (including a radon barrier DPM), followed by a carefully laid limecrete screed and a handcrafted clay brick floor finish.
We meticulously lifted, cleaned, and reused the original clay bricks, excavating the area to create a new Ty-Mar floor build-up. Each brick was hand-laid and cut, resulting in an intricate, durable, and visually stunning final floor finish — a testament to our expertise in specialist groundworks and heritage restoration.
